SEHWAN – The auspicious ceremonies commemorating the 772nd Urs of the esteemed Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Muhammad Usman Marwandi, known as Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, commenced on Thursday (today) in Sehwan.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori officially inaugurated the Urs festivities, paying homage to Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar by laying floral tributes at the sacred shrine. Welcoming the governor, Manzoor Mahesar, Secretary of Religious Affairs Sindh, extended warm regards.
The event saw the presence of Commissioner Hyderabad Khalid Hyder Shah and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hyderabad Tariq Razzaq Dahar.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori partook in the traditional Dhamaal, witnessing the spiritual fervor at Qalandar’s shrine.
Ali Zulfiqar Memon, Chairman of the Urs Committee, presented Governor Sindh with a traditional Sindhi topi as a token of appreciation.
The devotees from across Pakistan joined the celebrations donning the symbolic red and black attire. Rigorous security measures were implemented at the shrine’s entrances to ensure the safety and smooth passage of devotees.
