The police on Wednesday claimed to have secured the release of two persons kidnapped for ransom and arrested the alleged culprits.
According to police, the abductors had held hostage three individuals from Multan for ransom.
Multan Police foiled the kidnapping of two individuals identified as Kaneez Mai and Maryam Bibi who were kidnapped for a ransom of Rs150 million.
The kidnappers abducted Kaneez Mai and Maryam Bibi from Makhdum Rashid area of Multan. However, the police recovered them and arrested the alleged kidnappers.
In another kidnapping bid, wherein the abductors had kidnapped one Shoaib, the police have recovered him from Peshawar.
Alleged kidnappers of Shoaib captured him from Multan then took him to Peshawar where the local police recovered and released him.
