A middle intensity bomb blast at a bazaar in the provincial metropolis Monday afternoon left at least five people including two cops seriously wounded.
“At least five people including two traffic police officers have injured in the Rampura Gate area of Peshawar during the blast. They all have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital”. Police authorities said adding the police have sealed the market and surrounding area. Officials say the roadside bomb was attached to an electricity pole.
As the blast created panic in the area that houses mostly, whole sale floor shops and food grain stores, two police constables and three passerby sustained critical injuries. The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area and launched an operation. According to Police 500 grams of explosives were used in the blast.
