Tribal elders, Malik Gul Muhammad and Malik Gul Janan Wazir welcomed the 40-year short and long-term developmental master plan of the district administration of Lower and Upper South Waziristan, and said that the administration of both the districts of Waziristan has prepared the master plan for the betterment of the area and the general public, and it is not only commendable but will change the destiny of common people of Lower Waziristan and Upper Waziristan.
The elders further said that we appreciate the efforts of both the district administration officers and will support them at all levels. Before the merger of Ex FATA into Khyber Pukhtunkhowa, Waziristan had been controlled by the Federal Govt since the inception of Pakistan in 1947 as a separate state in the world. South Waziristan has great potential in all areas, but unfortunately, its potentials were not properly utilized owing to the slackness of officials of that time.
Now, civil administration has chalked out a Master plan for the merged district of South Waziristan Lower & Upper to mitigate the longstanding deprivation of it. According to the proposed Master plan, a network of roads, highways, bridges and transportation system will be enhanced to have sufficient intra district connectivity and with other neighbouring regions.”
