After the increase in the prices of petroleum (POL) products, the local transport fares were increased from Rs20 to reach Rs30 within Faisalabad city. Whereas, transport fares from Faisalabad to other cities were also raised on Sunday.
Meanwhile, from Faisalabad to Lahore, the transport fare is increased from Rs200 to reach Rs250. The fare from Faisalabad to Sialkot is reached from Rs350 to reach Rs450.
The fare from Faisalabad to Multan is reached from Rs500 to Rs650. The fare from Faisalabad to Rawalpindi is reached from Rs600 to reach Rs700. The fare from Faisalabad to Sialkot has increased from Rs350 to reach Rs450. The fare from Faisalabad to Jhang has gone up from Rs110 to Rs150.
On the other hand, transporters said that the price of POL products has increased so much that they were forced to raise fares because they have to meet the expenses.
Meanwhile, a man was booked for allegedly harassing the female students and teachers of a government school in Kahna area of Lahore.
The police registered a case on the complaint of the government school’s headmistress. The affected teachers of the school said that a man named Irfan harassed them multiple times during the arrival and departure timings.
They complained that Irfan had not stopped harassing the students and teachers despite being warned by the local residents. They added that he, sometimes, climbed the wall of the school to enter the building.
The teachers said that the school administration wrote a letter to the education department to increase the security measures.
According to the Superintendent Police (SP) Model Town, the case was registered under the sections of harassing the women. The officer said that police teams started raids to arrest the nominated man in the case.
