The solar energy trend is getting quick traction globally, including in Pakistan as the cost of solar panels and installations moved down, making it more affordable.

As people are looking to get best solar panels, Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC) published its annual PV Module Index report, ranking different makers as per performance, reliability, and build quality.

The PV Module Index Report was based on stringent testing, and it named leading performers across various categories, providing valuable insights for stakeholders involved in solar projects.

Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC), the world-famous independent test lab that provides certification testing for renewable energy classified evaluations of back sheet ultraviolet durability, damp heat exposure, hail resistance, potential induced degradation (PID), and mechanical load tolerance.

Some other conditions like thermal cycling, UV-induced degradation, module efficiency, incidence angle modifier, LeTID resistance, resistance, and temperature coefficient were tested.

Top Solar Makers 2024

Longi, Astronergy, ES Foundry, Gstar, JA Solar, Runergy, SolarSpace, Trina Solar, and Yingli Solar were ranked among top solar panel makers.

These companies shows market-standard reliability and efficiency, making their products ideal for solar projects requiring long-term durability and high energy output.

The report further revealed that JA Solar, Longi Solar, and SolarSpace performed well in backsheet UV durability, while Trina Solarm, Astronergy, ES Foundry, Longi Solar, and Runergy also worked fine in damp heat tests.

In terms of performance, Astronergy, Mission Solar, Qcells, REC Solar, and Silfab Solar outclassed other companies. In angle modifier tests, companies like Dehui Solar, ES Foundry, JA Solar, JinkoSolar, Longi Solar, Meyer Burger, Qcells, Runergy, Silfab Solar, and SolarSpace were found to be market standard.
