Central Ameer Jamat Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq on Friday said that timely elections would pave the way for improving the economic situation of the country. Addressing a workers convention at Kotkai Lower Dir, he said that timely elections are also necessary to strengthen the country and to improve relations with the comity of nations.

He said that unemployment increased drastically during the tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and people sold their properties due to the worst economic conditions. He claimed the JI would win elections with the support of the people and fulfil its pledges and promises after coming to power. He added that due to corruption and bad governance the economy collapsed and all those who ruled Pakistan showed really poor and zero performance.

“Those who ruled the country in the past have no narrative to tell the general public and ask for vote in return,” he observed, adding that those aspiring to reach the corridors of power should tell people about their achievements. On this occasion dozens of people announced joining JI. Siraj said that a few families had been imposed on the country in the name of democracy and they are involved in massive corruption.

“Everyone is fed up with skyrocketing inflation, law and order and corruption in the country,” he argued, adding that those who deceived the nation would face the music in the next general elections. “Those who ruled the country in the past have no narrative to tell the general public and ask for vote in return,” he observed.
