Says govt believes in composite development in each part of province

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday said that sufi poet Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed spread the lesson of peace and harmony and there is a dire need for promotion of teachings of the sufi saint, especially that of Khwaja Ghulam Fareed, in the prevailing circumstances.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was speaking at the shrine of sufi poet Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed during the first leg of his visit to South Punjab on Sunday.

The chief minister reached Kot Mithan and visited the shrine of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed, laid a floral wreath on the shrine and offered Fateha. Usman Buzdar also prayed for the solidarity of the country and the nation.

On the occasion, the CM said that Rs7o million would be spent on the provision of facilities for the devotees at the shrine.

He directed the authorities concerned to complete the project as soon as possible. He reiterated that the up-gradation project of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed shrine will be monitored and the shrine will be restored in its original form.

The chief minister also visited Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh and Multan where he participated in different ceremonies including the inauguration of a national campaign of children vaccination for prevention of Measles and Rubella, laying the foundation stone of up-gradation project of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed shrine in Kot Mithan as well as meeting with the leaders of PTI.

Usman Buzdar pointed out that the up-gradation project of the shrine included a complete renovation of Majlis Khana as well as building, setting up of a library, place of ablution, expansion of the courtyard and construction of western entrances of the Shrine.

On the occasion, the chief minister was briefed about the up-gradation plan of Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed shrine. Usman Buzdar inspected the up-gradation project.

The chief minister also participated in the Mehfil-e-Sama where famous Qawal presented Sufi poetry. Usman Buzdar and the audience appreciated the heart-touching style of Qawali.

Usman Buzdar said that Mahfil-e-Sama is the old tradition of Sufi-e-Karaam. The chief minister was presented Ajrak, Fareedi cap and Jubba.

Kh Amir Fareed Korija presented the book “Dewan-e-Farid” to the Chief Minister. Sajjada Nasheen of shrine Kh Moinuddin Korija offered prayers for development of the country. Advisor to CM Hanif Patafi, MPA Khurram Khan Laghari, and others were also present on the occasion.

Later, PTI MNA Sardar Nasrullah Dareshak, MPAs and party office-bearers called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in Rajanpur. The chief minister said that the government believes in composite development and an equitable development package of Rs360 billion has been allocated for each district.

The small districts like Rajanpur were befooled with false promises in the past, said Usman Buzdar.

He said that for the first time in history, the incumbent government allocated more than 35% of the development budget for Southern Punjab whereas this percentage was only 17 in the past. He said that the government has redressed the deprivations of Southern Punjab.

Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari, Provincial Minister for Livestock Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Draishak, Advisor Hanif Potafi, MPA Sardar Owais Dareshk, MPA Khurram Leghari, PTI official Sardar Ali Raza Dareshk and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

Moreover, CM Usman Buzdar attended the Walima reception of the son of Chairman Punjab Land Record Authority MPA Sardar Ahmed Dareshak in Rajanpur. Sardar Ahmad Ali Dareshak thanked the CM for attending the ceremony.

The CM after visiting Rajanpur reached Muzaffargarh and went to the residence of Advisor and MPA Abdul Hai Dasti. The Chief Minister condoled with Abdul Hai Dasti the sad demise of his mother and offered Fateha.

The Chief Minister also visited DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh and inaugurated a campaign to prevent children from measles and rubella. Usman Buzdar also observed the inoculation process and directed the concerned authorities for the success of the campaign.

Usman Buzdar said that the national campaign against measles and rubella would be continued from 15 to 27 November.

After Rajanpur and Muzaffargarh, the Chief minister reached Multan and went to the residence of Advisor Javaid Akhter Ansari and condoled with him over the sad demise of his brother Haji Ameen Ansari.

Usman Buzdar extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

The chief minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of the father of Makhdoom Raza Hussain Bukhari.

The chief minister extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
