Three Pakistani troops martyred, as many terrorists killed in DI Khan attack

RAWALPINDI – At least three soldiers embraced martyrdom and as many terrorists were killed during the latest terror attack in Dera Ismail Khan, the military’s media wing said.

In a statement, ISPR said three soldiers embraced martyrdom as militants ambushed a police check post in the general area Khutti in D.I Khan district.

In wake of the militants’ presence, security forces immediately cordoned off the area and blocked all possible escape routes. Fleeing terrorists were intercepted in the general area of Saggu, Dera Ismail Khan District, and gunfire was started in which, three terrorists were also killed.

Forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the dead terrorists, while sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, ISPR said.

The Military’s media wing also maintained that armed forces are fully determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers will further strengthen our resolve.
