Three brothers were shot dead over a minor dispute here Shahdara Town locality of the provincial metropolis Monday morning, the police said.
According to police, the assailants belong to Ali Raza Group gunned down the three brothers identified as: Tahir, Maqsood and Shan in the Jahangir Park area of Shahdara Town. The eye-witnesses informed that the shooting took place over a trivial dispute of sitting in the street.
They ran into argument with each other, which led to the exchange of hot words. All sudden the scene turned ugly and the accused started firing killing the three brothers.
The police officials informed that the attackers sprayed bullets on the three brothers who were rushed to Mayo Hospital in injured condition but they succumbed to their wounds.
The bodies were kept at the morgue for postmortem as a heavy contingent of police reached the hospital to avert any violent protest by the three brothers’ family. The police have formed raiding teams to arrest the murderers as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed and a minor girl sustained injuries when a car collided with a tractor trolley in the wee hours of Monday.
According to details, the accident occurred on Band Road in Sherakot area of Lahore, where a speeding car collided with a tractor trolley, killing a man and his wife on the spot and injuring a minor girl.
Rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. Rescue sources said that a three-year-old boy remained unhurt in the accident.
