Acute shortage of medicine and unavailability of funds has led to the closure of the dialysis center at Makli Civil Hospital facilitating the patients from far-flung areas of the district.
The administration informed the patients about the decision made because of the persistent shortage of medicine.
The center where 15 patients underwent dialysis per day started functioning in 2010 through the Joint efforts of the then medical superintendent Dr. Lal Mir Shah and the Patient Welfare Association but after his retirement, it had been facing a shortage of dialysis medicine and funds required to address other needs of the center.
