THARPARKAR – A man allegedly committed suicide after poisoning his wife and three children to death in an area of Tharparkar.
Tharparkar, also known as Thar, is a district in Sindh province in Pakistan, with its headquarter city Mithi. International surveys show a significant portion of the population of the district lives below poverty line while around two-third population is facing food insecurity.
Police said five bodies of a same family were recovered from a house in Koya village of the district. The deceased include two sons, a daughter, their mother and father.
Police said that the man allegedly poisoned his family members and later ended his life.
The bodies have been shifted to Tehsil Hospital Nangarparkar as police have launched an investigation into the matter.
