Teachers of Mardan stage protest rally

Hundreds of primary school Teachers of Mardan district staged protest rally outside Mardan press club in favor of their demands.

All Primary Teacher Association (Apta) Provincial Senior Vice President Khalid Kamal, District President Zawar Khan, General Secretary Bakhtzada, Education Council Chairman Hafiz Zubair Ahmed, President Usman Sanghar, General Secretary Fazl Hussain, SST Provincial GS Farhad Tucker, Fazal Akbar, Provincial Spokesperson Taj Muhammad, Wahdat Teachers Association President Hafiz Inam and other office bearers led the protest rally.

Large numbers of primary school teacher’s attended the protest rally. Addressing the protest rally speakers said that they reject deduction in monthly pension.

They demanded the government to immediately issue the permanent notification of adhoc teachers.

Speakers said that the current inflation has badly affected the government employees while on the other hand the government wants to bring a law to cut the monthly pension allowance of the employees, which we do not accept in any case.

Speakers said that under the current service structure rule 2018, promotions should be given to primary teachers in basic scale 15 and headmasters in scale 16 and 17. Speaker said that will continue their protest until their demands aren’t accepted. Later on the protesters dispersed peacefully.
