BRIDGETOWN – The Scotland versus England match was abandoned due to intermittent rains in Bridgetown.
Scotland set a challenging 109-run target for England in the reduced overs (10 overs a side) Group B match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. However, England could not start the chase as consistent rains forced the umpires to abandon the match.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, openers Michael Jones (45) and George Munsey (41) continued scoring at a brisk pace before the rain interruption and after the resumption of the play. Scotland managed to score 90 runs without losing a wicket after the match was reduced to 10 overs a side affair. England were set a 109-run target in 10 overs. (D/L).
