State-of-the-art new Pakistan Post building established at UAF

State-of-the-art new building of Pakistan Post has been established at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in order to facilitate the campus community.

The building setup at UAF Bank Square was inaugurated by Post Master General Central Punjab Irum Tariq who was flanked by UAF Treasurer Umer Saeed Qadri, Principal Officer Public Relations and Publications Prof Dr Jalal Arif, Chief Post Master Faisalabad Shahid Iqbal, Principal Officer Engineering and Construction Department Dr Muhammad Arshad and other notables.

The Post Master General said that Pakistan Post was providing postal services in every nook and corner of the country through a network of around 13,000 post offices. It provides delivery services to about 20 million households and businesses as community service without any cost considerations.

Irum Tariq said that normal post delivery time is not more than seven days. She said Pakistan Post is also providing a universal postal service network in harmony with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) strategy to ensure secure and timely delivery of mail, money and material at affordable cost through utilization of people, process and technology and innovative product offerings.

Treasurer Umer Saeed said that the university was taking all possible measurers to facilitate the campus community. She said that the University houses more than 30,000 students for which state-of-art-art Post office is a blessing to send their documents, letters etc. He said that services of Pakistan Post are recommendable as it delivers the parcel at the every corner of the country. He said there was a time when the people were used to write the letter. But now the trend has changed with SMS. He called for writing letters culture that also sharpen the thinking process.

Prof Dr Jalal Arif said that in the past, the people were habitual to write the letter which provided the fragrance of feelings and sentiments. There is a need to revive that culture.—INP
