LAHORE – Solar panel prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase ahead of federal budget for fiscal year 2024-25.
Traders have jacked up the prices after reports surfaced claiming that the government planning to impose additional taxes on solar panels in the budget.
The federal government is set to unveil the Budget 2024-25 on June 12. The budget has been made in line with the IMF conditions as Pakistan is in talks with the global lender to secure another bailout package.
New Solar Panel Prices in Pakistan June 2024
The price of solar panel was increased by Rs8 per watt. The 588-wat solar panel plate will now cost up to Rs5,000. Similarly, the price of 180 to 280 watts ranges between Rs1,000 – Rs1,500.
