UNITY, Faith, Discipline is the national motto of Pakistan and it is regarded as the guiding principle of Pakistan nationhood upon attaining independence on 14 August 1947. The above was introduced by father of the nation Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah but regrettably we as a nation have failed to carry forward the same and to implement it over a period of time and unfortunately it is falling apart.
It is unfortunate that in 76 years since we gained independence we could not become a nation and I find that a very essential ingredient of Morality is found missing in our nation building.
In order to address morality, I would call upon and invite the kind attention of the policy makers of the country, especially the education authorities at the Federal level who are responsible for the formation of national curriculum to introduce a subject on morality and the same must be made mandatory and it taught from Class-1 to Class-12 throughout the country.
Due to the introduction of the morality subject being taught from Class-1 to Class-12, the impact would not show up immediately but it would take time to raise one generation perhaps 18 to 20 years from now and if continued to be taught regularly we would be on a roadmap to becoming a true nation having strong family values.
Nowadays at the time of political instability, poor economic conditions, poverty etc., the social ills are quite prominent among us as a nation to name a few like intolerance, jealousy, losing temper etc. The remedy to intolerance is to inculcate tolerance in oneself, we as a nation terribly lack the listening skill due to which we jump at the conclusion and lose temper.
In order to remedy jealousy one should be envious rather than being jealous. To further elaborate, I would give an example that if someone has worked hard in his/her education and his/her career and taken up a very senior position then his friends should be envious of his/her achievements and they should wish that if they struggled hard in their education and career then they would also achieve the position taken up by their friend.
Another piece of advice is that we all as a nation should have zero expectations from others, for example, if someone helped his/her friend in finding a job then we must not have any expectations in return and in this way we will always remain calm and positive minded .
We, as a nation, must discipline ourselves to form a queue rather than to jump the queue. Moreover we, as a nation, should be customer-focused and service-oriented, quality & safety driven in order to be successful in our respective businesses.
We, as a nation, must believe and practice in inter-faith to respect all religions. We must remember please don’t give up your faith and don’t interfere in someone else’s faith always. Please remember that religions promote peace and harmony. I may add that my services are available free of cost to deliver lectures on morality to schools/colleges etc., and I may please be contacted on my email address.
