Six Daesh terrorists killed in Quetta

Six terrorists were killed in an exchange of firing between the security men and some members of proscribed organisation Daesh in in Quetta on Sunday.

Balochistan Counter-Terrorism Department had learnt through an intelligence-based operation that a terrorist namely Asghar Samalani with head money worth Rs2 million rupees as outlined in the Red Book was present along with other terrorists belonging to the proscribed organisation Daesh in the QDA graveyard in Quetta.

Sources said that they were moving to attack a sensitive installation when the Counter-Terrorism Department reached the place and foiled their attempt.

The terrorists were asked to surrender upon which they started indiscriminate firing and lodged grenades at the security personnel, sources stated, leading to counter firing from the Counter-Terrorism Department.

As a result, six terrorists, including Asghar Sumalani, were killed while others managed to escape. Efforts are being made to identify the remaining dead terrorists.
