KP Health Minister booked for violating corona SOPs

The district administration of Peshawar assisted by the Pakistan army Tuesday initiated major crackdown against the violators of the Corona Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported record highest number of 45 deaths in a single day.
Those booked for not adhering to the Corona SOPs also include provincial health Minister Taimoor Saleem Jhagra.
According to the KP Health department updates, the province on Tuesday reported 45 deaths highest so far in a single day with 935 new cases thus taking the number of total positive cases in the province to 156,880,4.
The district administration Peshawar along with Army officials Tuesday conducted raids in various localities in Peshawar that include Saddar, University Road, Hayatabad, Kohat Road and Charsadda Road, Ring road, Pishtakharra road and Bara road besides Sasta Bazars in many areas and sealed scores of Shops and arrested 165 shopkeepers for breach of Corona SOPs. The raiding teams also fined around 100 hundred people for not wearing masks.
Pakistan Army’s troops continued patrolling Peshawar roads along with police and district officials to ensure enforcement of corona SOPs.
In the meanwhile the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra was booked over violation of corona SOPs during an Iftaar party.
The health minister reportedly hosted an Iftaar dinner for the party workers at a restaurant in Peshawar and openly violated the Covid-related SOPs, Social distancing was also neglected in the Iftar party.
