Sindh declares Public holiday on February 5

KARACHI – The interim government in Sindh announced a public holiday on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

A notification shared in this regard said a public holiday will be observed across Sindh, including the provincial capital Karachi, in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day on Feb 5.

The notification said silence will be observed for 1-minute on February 5 at 10 am.

State Bank of Pakistan also announced Feb 5 holiday as the nation observes Kashmir Day to express solidarity with Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Last week, the interim federal government also week announced February 5 as national holiday across the country as Islamabad conveys a message of solidarity and support to distressed Kashmiris.
