In a bold move aimed at drawing attention to their plight, clerks across Sindh province have issued a stern warning to the government, threatening to escalate protests if their demands are not met by May. Led by Provincial President Bakhsh Ali Chachar and joined by prominent figures such as Attaullah Kunbhar, Wali Muhammad Soomro, Abdul Qayyum Khoso, Zulfikar Solangi, Jan Muhammad Solangi, and Muhammad Ayaz Panhwarr, the clerks highlighted the pressing challenges they face due to inflation.

Addressing a gathering in Thatta, the clerks stressed the urgent need for a substantial 200% increase in salaries to keep pace with the soaring inflation rates. Furthermore, they proposed a reform in the distribution of group insurance funds, advocating for individual disbursements upon retirement rather than a collective policy.

One of the key grievances expressed by the clerks was the lack of employment opportunities for their children. To address this, they called for the implementation of a quota system to ensure fair access to jobs for the offspring of current employees.

Failure to address these grievances, the clerks cautioned, would lead to an escalation of protests. They warned of staging demonstrations, with Karachi as a potential focal point, should the government fail to take decisive action. The declaration witnessed significant participation from clerks across Sindh.
