Sindh changes school, college timings for Ramadan 2023

KARACHI – The provincial administration of Sindh has reduced school timings by two hours during the holy month of Ramadan.

Sindh School Education and Literacy Department announced the updated timings for all state-owned and private educational institutions in the regions for Ramadan 2023.

With new timings in place, the classes will now start at 7:30 am and continue till 12 pm (noon) from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday.

On Fridays, the school timings will be from 7:30 am to 11 am.

Federal govt cuts office timings for Ramadan

As Muslims around the world fast and pray for the holy month, the federal government has reduced the timings for public offices.

A notification shared by the Establishment Division said public offices would start from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the public offices would operate from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.

The moon for Ramadan 2023 is expected to be sighted on the evening of March 22, and the first Ramadan is likely to fall on Thursday, March 23.
