PESHAWAR  –  Former provincial minister Shakeel Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur allegedly had a heated exchange in a WhatsApp group.

The sources said that the argument between the two PTI leaders occurred around 1 AM last night in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians’ WhatsApp group. The exchange of harsh words between Ali Amin Gandapur and Shakeel Khan continued for about an hour.

The sources revealed that both Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Shakeel Khan accused each other of corruption, and Shakeel Khan taunted the Chief Minister for not having authority.

The sources further stated that during the heated exchange, Shakeel Khan resigned from his position in the WhatsApp group itself. In response, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur replied that he had already dismissed him.

According to the sources, after the intervention of other ministers and assembly members, both leaders deleted their messages from the WhatsApp group.

It is worth mentioning that former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Communications, Shakeel Khan, had already resigned from his post.

However, in his statement, the Chief Minister said that the Good Governance Committee, formed with the approval of PTI founder Imran Khan, had approved Shakeel Khan’s removal due to his performance.
