Director General of Sindh Food Authority (SFA), Agha FakharHussain, emphasized the authority’s active role in raising awareness about salt iodization in collaboration with stakeholders. He made this statement during a meeting with Muhammad Ajmal Khan, National Officer for Universal Salt Iodization (USI), held at his office. During the discussion, Dr. Fatima Saad from Nutrition International’s Salt Iodization Program was also present.
Muhammad Ajmal Khan commended the SFA’s efforts in promoting awareness through various initiatives, including walks, seminars, and media campaigns. “We must work together to achieve the goals of the salt iodization awareness program,” said DG Agha FakharHussain. He further assured continued support for the Salt Iodization Program, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in promoting public health.
