Schools, colleges shut as Sindh getting three holidays

KARACHI – School and college-going students will enjoy a long weekend on account of Pakistan Day and Holi celebration.

The provincial government on Friday announced a public holiday on March 23 and all schools and offices will remain closed on Saturday.

The notification confirmed a public holiday in schools, colleges, and higher educational institutions while semi-government institutions will also remain closed. Local councils will also remain closed.

Another notification issued by Department of Services, General Administration and Co-ordination confirmed the holiday over the weekend.

Holi Holiday

Besides Saturday and Sunday off, the provincial government announced a holiday on March 25 (Monday) for the Hindu community for Holi festivities.

A notification shared by Sindh government confirmed a holiday for Hindu employees working in offices, bodies, corporations, and local councils.
