Scattered light rain likely in Karachi, coastal areas of Sindh

KARACHI – Partly cloudy weather with light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh on Friday night and Saturday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country. Under these weather conditions, partly cloudy weather with light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh on Friday night and Saturday. Hot and humid weather will likely prevail elsewhere in the province.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Sukkur remained the hottest place in Sindh where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. The maximum temperature in Mohenjo-Daro and Dadu was recorded at 39°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 31°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 72 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.
