Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Senator Dr Sania Nishtar paid a surprise visit to Holy Family Hospital.
During the visit, she met with patients and their attendants, technical team of medical experts and hospital administrations.
Dr Sania went to Emergency, Ophthalmology and ICU wards and took feedback of patients and their attendants about the medical support extended through Tahafuz programme.
Patient feedback and first-hand information will help in upgrading the Ehsaas Tahafuz programme said Dr. Sania.
To-date, 612 deserving patients have been served at HFH, Rawalpindi. To serve patients in need, a facilitation desk has also been established at the HFH to identify the eligible beneficiaries for Tahafuz.
Administered by Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division, the programme is being expanded to 14 hospitals across the country.
Currently, the programme is fully operational in HFH. The scale and scope of the programme is being upgraded based on results of the recently concluded pilot programme at HFH.
