Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan has said that reforms are underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police to enable it to deal with the challenges of the modern era. Modern scientific instruments are being provided to the investigation staff to make the investigation process more efficient.
He was talking to the media after the inauguration of new building of the Baghdad police Choki in Mardan. Regional Police Officer Mohammad Sulaiman, DPO Mardan Najibur Rehman, SP City Inam Jan, SP Fayyaz Khan and other senior officials were also present on this occasion. The IG Police inspected various parts of the police post and appreciated the quality of construction work.
This police Choki, consisting of 13 Marla of land, has cost 50 lakh 66 thousand rupees, which includes Hawalat log room, two barracks, in-charge room, kot and two washrooms. Inspector General Police Akhtar Hayat Gandapur said that Mardan has been divided into three divisins to make the police monitoring system effective in view of the increasing population of Mardan and appointed SP level officers in two of them while another SP will be appointed soon.
He said that the launch of command and control system here will help in crime control and early tracing of incidents.
