LAHORE – Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has exposed Pakistan’s weaknesses during the first Test against Australia played in Perth on Sunday, resulting in Pakistan’s defeat by 360 runs.

Ramiz Raja, who served in the PCB for almost two years, stated that on the fourth day, Pakistan lacked intent and technique.

Ramiz Raja took to X and tweeted, “Both intent and technique were absent from Pakistan’s ‘resistance menu.’ It was disappointing that in the second innings, only 31 overs were faced, while Australia was on a different level,”.

During the second innings, Pakistani batsmen struggled, and they were dismissed in just 30.2 overs.

It is noteworthy that in pursuit of a target of 450 runs, the Pakistan team managed to score only 89 runs before being bowled out. Saud Shakeel contributed the most with 24 runs for the hosts.

Pakistan’s attempt to win their first Test in Australia since 1995 was thwarted by Nathan Lyon and the home team’s formidable attack, which concluded the match within a swift four days.

The Australian attack, consisting of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood, proved too much for Pakistan’s batting lineup.
