PESHAWAR – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Eid-ul-Fitr.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave will likely enter the upper parts of the country from 10th April (evening/night).
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in most districts of the province on Tuesday night. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Kurram, Kohat, Waziristan, Bannu, Tank, Khyber, Peshawar and Bajaur.
On Wednesday (Eid day), rain-win/thunderstorms are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Kurrum, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Waziristan, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan during evening/night.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 31-33 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 38 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 29 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 34 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 44 per cent.
