KARACHI – The Pakistan Met Office on Monday predicted rains and thunderstorms in several parts of the country including Karachi.

Parts of Pakistan including port city will receive showers as westerly wave enters Pakistan and will affect weather in upper parts from February 26.

Met Office predicted showers with thunderstorm in Karachi, Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, Naushahro Feroze, Sukkur, and Khairpur on Monday. Meanwhile, cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province.

On Monday, the mercury in Sindh’s capital city is likely to remain between 15-17 degrees, and weather is expected to be dry.

PMD further warned that expected snowfall could lead to road closures in northern Balochistan, while heavy inundation might result in flash floods in several streams and nullahs, especially in Gwadar, Ketch, Panjgur, and Awaran districts on Feb 26th.

The weather could also disrupt roadways in various regions, including Murree.
