Railways director abducted in Rawalpindi

Dr Omer Awab Khan, Director Hospital in Pakistan Railways, was kidnapped in broad daylight when he was on his way back home from work in Rawalpindi.

The family of the doctor got a case registered at Ratta Amral police station against his abduction.

“My father-in-law Dr Omer Awab Khan was on his way back home after duty at railways’ hospital when he was abducted,” said daughter-in-law of Dr Omer in the FIR. “My father-in-law has been missing since June 7,” she claimed.Dr Abdul Aziz, son-in-law of Dr Omer Awab Khan, requested the police to ensure early recovery of the abducted doctor.Meanwhile, the staff of the railways’ hospital and the students and family of Dr Omer Awab Khan staged a demonstration against his abduction, and they demanded that the authorities concerned ensure his early and safe return.
