Punjab schools winter vacation schedule changed [New Notification]

LAHORE – The Punjab Education Department has changed the schedule of winter vacations for schools across the province, a day after it issued a notification in this regard.

The department has issued the new notification, stating that the winter holidays will start from December 23 (Monday) instead of previously announced December 20 (Friday).

It said the winter break will be observed in Punjab from December 23 to January 10, reducing 24 holidays to 21 for students of schools.

A day earlier, the department had issued a notification stating that schools will remain closed from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025.

The winter break will conclude on January 10, and schools will reopen on Monday, January 13, 2025, after the weekend holidays on January 11-12, 2025.

Meanwhile, Schools in Sindh including the provincial capital Karachi will remain closed from December 21 as authorities announced Winter Holidays 2024.

s per notification issued by the department, schools and colleges will remain closed from December 21 to December 31. Students will return to school from January 1, 2025.

The winter holidays schedule applies to both private and government educational institutions across Sindh. Students and staff members can now enjoy a well-deserved break before the new year.

The move is expected to provide relief to students and educators during the colder months, ensuring a safe and comfortable holiday season.
