Punjab MPAs term inter-parliamentary exchange visit very productive

Minister for Local Government and Public Health Engineering Sindh Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said Thursday that we welcome members of Punjab Assembly to Sindh.

Their visit to Sindh would further enhance relations between the two provinces and would yield fruitful results, he said while speaking at a seminar participated by the 30 members delegation of Punjab Assembly at a local hotel here today. This visit has been organized by Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO).

He said that there was an immense need of such type of visits on regular basis which should also include visits of various development projects, so that they learn with each other experiences.

He observed that gathering of members of Punjab and Sindh Assemblies would help in exchange of ideas for the betterment of masses in both provinces. He congratulated SSDO for organizing such exchanges of parliamentarians.

Minister for Information Sindh, Saeed Ghani, said that every Pakistani, including religious leaders and political parties, were affected by the terrorism.  He said that terrorists didn’t even spare mosques, churches and mandirs.

He said that for the safety and security of the country, the policies should be made by the political forces. The elected members of parliament are the one who can represent the people of Pakistan and can make policies for their benefits.

He said that the difference of opinion is important and should be respected but the policies for the future of Pakistan should be made with consultation of all the political parties.

Karachi administrator Murtaza Wahab said that the role of political leaders is the most important in the society as they are the agents of change. The Parliamentarians actually know the ground realities and the issues of public.”

He said the after passing of any legislation in the assembly, there are many bottle necks in the implementation of the laws.

The Politicians discuss, deliberate and then build consensus. He said that politics is the art of possibilities. He said that we should never compromise on the interest of state.

Syed Kausar Abbas, Executive Director SSDO, while highlighting the objective of the inter-parliamentary exchange visit said that the basic purpose of the visit is to learn the good practices of Punjab and Sindh Assemblies.

He said that this visit will help in creating synergies among the parliaments. He said that we should create unity against extremism and enhance national integration. He said that parliamentarians can play a leading role in peace building.

He was of the view that SSDO is providing a natural platform to the MPAs where they can discuss any issue without party affiliation. Inter-Parliamentary Exchange Visit of Punjab MPAs to Sindh

Punjab MPAs termed inter parliamentary exchange visit very productive and a good learning experience.

It is pertinent to mention here that a three-day inter parliamentary exchange visit of Punjab MPAs to Sindh organized by Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) concluded today.

The MPAs appreciated SSDO for organizing such a wonderful initiative and called for more such exchange visit to enhance synergies between provincial parliaments.

They said that the sessions were very productive and helped in improving working relationship between provincial parliaments.

They were of the view that for the unity and showing positive image of Pakistan, all the MPAs are united and working closely beyond party lines.

During the visit, a 30- member delegation of Punjab Assembly also called on Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

They visited Sindh Assembly where Convener SDG Task Force Provincial Assembly Pir Mujeebul Haq welcomed the delegation while Secretary Sindh Assembly briefed the members about the history and working of the assembly.

MPAs also visited Mazar-e-Quaid to pay tribute to the father of the nation.  MPAs of Punjab Assembly held discussions with their counterparts during different session.
