Taking strict action for violating the party’s policy, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) served show-cause notices to 12 of its members of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) for forming a forward block and voting against the party policy in the GB election for the slot of the chief minister. PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan on Saturday issued notices to the PTI lawmakers and asked them to explain their positions in this regard within three days.
PTI issued show-cause notices to Syed Sohail Abbas, Colonel (Retd.) Abidullah Baig, Shams-ul-Haq and Haji Shah Baig who constituted a forward block and voted against the party police in the GB election for the CM position. Moreover, Gulbar Khan, Syed Amjad Zaidi, Fazal Rahim, Dilshad Bano, Suraiya Zaman, Mushtaq Hussain and Abdullah Hameed were also issued show cause notices in this regard.
The notification reads: “It has come to the notice of the party leadership that you made a forward block and voted against the party decision in GB.—INP
