ISLAMABAD – The miscreants’ high-speed vehicle ran over Rangers personnel stationed in Islamabad under the guise of a so-called protest, a CCTV footage surfaced on Tuesday.
The tragic incident took place on the night of November 26, 2024, at 2:44am.
The security sources said that the miscreants’ speeding vehicle came from behind a tree, ran over the Rangers personnel, and continued moving forward. In this tragic incident, three Rangers personnel were martyred and three others were severely injured, security sources reported.
The incident occurred when the Rangers personnel were being deployed at a checkpoint, according to security sources.
This incident was part of a planned and calculated strategy by the miscreants, which can be clearly observed in the CCTV footage, claimed the security sources.
They said that on the social media, the incident is being distorted and falsely propagated with fabricated facts.
Earlier, the security sources said that the several videos of violent protesters had surfaced in the public domain.
The process of identifying the miscreants through CCTV footage is underway, said the sources, adding that the strict legal action would be taken against those involved in the incident.
They said that the miscreants would be given appropriate punishment.
