PTI leader Shah Khalid shot dead in Swabi

As the February 8 general elections are drawing closer, within short span of twenty-four hours thee politicians have been gunned down in various districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On Thursday, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Shah Khalid was brutally murdered by unknown assailants in broad daylight in Swabi district. Officials and Police said two armed miscreants riding on a motorcycle opened fire on the vehicle of the PTI leader at Swabi Adda killing him on the spot. Soon after the incident, Police reached the crime scene and cordoned off the area as the body of the slain PTI leader was shifted to hospital. The Police admitted that the outlaws who fired at the vehicle of Shah Khalid, escaped unchallenged. Police officials claim the law enforcers have kicked off search operation for assassins adding the motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained.
