Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has lamented that the PTI government instead of making efforts to bring the angry Baloch leaders to the negotiating table is dumping those who are already its allies and standing with the federation.
Referring to the BNP-Mengal withdrawal from the PTI coalition government while talking to media at Mansoora on Thursday, he said Sardar Akhtar Mengal pointed out all the injustices being made with the people of Balochistan during his speech at the National Assembly.
The BNP leader, said Senator Siraj, clearly narrated that the PTI failed to honor the commitments regarding resolving the issues and problems of the province.
The JI Emir regretted the attitude of the prime minister was incomprehensible amid the prevailing crises.
The PM, he added, engaged in non-issues instead of listening to allies and addressing their reservations.
He said the prime minister should have held meetings with the members of the Sindh government and other stake holders during the visit to the province as the step could have been proved beneficial to lessen the growing differences between center and Sindh.
The JI chief said the Imran Khan government like its predecessors, the PML-N and the PPP, had also failed to fulfill its promise about the creation of Southern Punjab province. He said the people of southern districts of Punjab particularly and other areas generally had lost their trust over the ruling elite and were not willing to give them further time.
He said the prices of flour, sugar and other basic food items had become out of public reach, petrol was not available at filling stations and Cronavirus was hitting the masses badly while the ruling party was seemed least concern to pay its attention to the real issues.
JI Secretary General Ameerul Azim said that prime minister did not bother to visit any hospital of Lahore despite passage of more than three months to the outbreak of deadly Covid-19.
The Science and Technology Minister Fawad Hussain, he added, was making predictions about Eid instead of focusing on real field of his ministry.
He said it seemed the government was not ready to change its direction and suggesting anything positive to them was waste of time. He appealed the people to vote for honest and dedicated leadership to bring the country out of crises.
Earlier, he and JI Secretary General Ameerul Azim inaugurated “Al-Khidmat Dastarkhawan” where lunch will be available at Rs20 per person.
