LAHORE –  The security officially allegedly stopped a woman spectator from carrying out a flag inscribe with the demand of “Free Palestine”.

Taking to X, the woman recorded her protest against the police for stopping her from her right to protest.

Faryal wrote, “I was stopped by security officials upon seeing the banner in support of Palestine during the match, as if I was carrying a weapon.”

She explained that security officials informed her, “It is not permitted to bring these banners inside. It contains the controversial messages that offend some people. If you want to enter, you will have to leave these banners outside,”.

Faryal regretted over the attitude of the security officials. She said, “The attitude of security officials made my younger siblings accompanying me anxious, so I felt it inappropriate to argue.”

She remarked, “the Security officials were just following orders. It is stated in the terms and conditions of PSL tickets that posters, banners, or play cards containing religious, political, or racial discrimination are strictly prohibited,”.

The social media users are raising questions about why Faryal was not allowed to bring the message supporting Palestine into the stadium, considering Pakistan’s official position on Israel’s occupation of Palestine.
