The Quetta Gladiators Thursday defeated Islamabad United in the opening march of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 by three wickets.
Azam Khan, former Pakistan cricket captain Moin Khan’s son, was the star of the day as he scored a much-needed half century for the Gladiators.
Earlier Islamabad United have set a 169-run target for Quetta Gladiators to chase in the first clash of the 2020 Pakistan Super League at Karachi’s National Stadium. After being sent in to bat, two-time champions United were all out for 168 with five balls to spare out of their allotted 20 overs. The contest was set to be thrilling from the start, with United’s Colin Munro being caught by Nawaz on the very first ball of the match.
