University of Management and Technology President Ibrahim Hasan Murad met with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E Mr. HisseinBrahim Taha at the OIC Headquarters in Jeddah. Professor Sajjad Qamar was also present in this meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Murad briefed the Secretary-General on the activities of UMT and its achievements. The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing the corporation between the University of Management and Technology, Islamic universities and OIC.
Hissein Brahim Taha appreciated the dynamic vision of Ibrahim Murad and encouraged the UMT initiative to grant scholarships to students from the OIC member states, especially to the least developed countries. Such initiatives would lead the youth of Muslim countries to pursue higher education, he said.
President UMT Mr. Ibrahim Murad expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception by the Secretary General of OIC. Mr. Murad and Secretary General discussed potential collaboration opportunities between OIC and UMT.
