Islamabad police on Tuesday arrested 22 outlaws including eight proclaimed offenders and recovered hashish, wine and weapons from their possession.
According to details, SP (Rural-Zone) constituted special police team under the supervision of SHO Khanna along with others. The team successfully apprehended two drug peddlers namely Shahid Khan and Naseer-Ullah and recovered 1.600 kilogram hashish from their possession.
Aabpara police arrested two accused Yaqoob Masih and Zia-Ur-Rehman and recovered three wine bottles and 200 gram hashish from their possession. Lohi Bher police arrested accused Muhammad Adil and recovered three wine bottles from him. Sabzi Mandi police arrested Muhammad Sajjad and recovered 220 gram hashish from him.
Industrial Area police arrested two accused Muhammad Subhan and Smmar and recovered 190 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. Karachi Company police arrested accused Muhammad Adnan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. While police team apprehended two afghan Nation accused Rose Gul and Sher Rehman. Golra police arrested accused Muddssar Khalid and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
Koral police arrested two accused Muhammad Sami and Aqib Mehmood and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. Tarnol police apprehended an afghan national Rafi-Ullah.
Separate cases against the detainees were registered at concerned police stations and further investigation from them was underway. Meanwhile, during special checking across federal capital, police arrested eight proclaimed offenders wanted by police in various criminal cases.
DIG (Operations) Afzal Ahmed Kausar has appreciated the performance and asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.—INP
