The police arrested 108 outlaws including proclaimed offenders, drug pushers, recovered arms, narcotics and other material during separate actions in different areas in 24 hours.SP City Umer Sarfraz Virk said that in the wake of surge in crimes, the City Division police conducted operations against anti-state elements.
The police arrested 75 criminals including proclaimed offenders. Nine people were arrested after recovery of illegal weapons and over display of arms. Four drug peddlers were nabbed besides recovery of cache of narcotics worth hundreds of thousands rupees. Police detained nine over kites flying while five were held for begging at public places.
Seven people were arrested over violation of ‘Sound System Laws and seven detained over selling gutka. Police held eight for selling open petrol, one-wheeling and use of fireworks. Separate cases against the detainees were registered at concerned police stations and investigations were underway.
