In a recent development in Wana, District Police Officer South Waziristan Lower, Farman Ullah, announced the successful resolution of a tense situation involving the confiscation of two vehicles laden with non-custom paid tires. The issue, which had sparked protests by tire owners, was peacefully settled following four days of negotiations facilitated by local political leaders.

The tires, numbering 38,129 pairs in total, were seized by the police two weeks ago from Karab Kot area.
