Police on Monday received the postmortem report of Farah, the daughter of late industrialist Seth Abid, who was shot dead by her stepson at her home in Lahore’s Muslim Town locality a day before yesterday (Saturday, June 18, 2022) while the forensic report was still awaited.

Listing two reasons for Farah’s death, the report said that a bullet that the deceased had received ruptured one of blood veins in her body.

It further disclosed that Fahad, her stepson, was standing just few centimeters on her right when he shot at her. “The slain woman had bullets’ wounds in her body’s back,” the report revealed.

The police officials, however, said the exact cause of her death would only be ascertained once they received the forensic report.

On the other hand, more progress was reported in the murder case of Seth Abid’s daughter as the roles of her servants, who had been arrested along with Fahad for erasing the evidence, also started to unravel.

According to the police, Atya, the maid, had herself changed the blood-stained bed sheet after her mistresses’ murder.

Similarly, another servant named Roohul Ameen assisted Fahad in shifting his stepmother’s body to hospital, while Abid and Shahid had concealed the weapon used in the incident. Atya told the police that Fahad wanted to marry daughter of a tailor who lived in Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore. “Both had become friends on Facebook, but Farah, Fahad’s stepmother, would prohibit her,” she elaborated. This was precisely the reason, police said, that initially Fahad tried to project the incident as a suicide.
