The metropolitan police PS Noon apprehended 60 outlaws including two gangs during the last month involved in a series of criminal activities and heinous crime, a police public relations officer said. He said that, the Noon police teams also recovered looted items, gold ornaments, mobile phones, motorcycles, drugs, liquor and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had assigned special tasks to the zonal SP’s and Police teams to arrest those involved in heinous crime and recover the looted items.
While sharing the performance of the Noon police team, SP Industrial Area said that the Noon police teams conducted a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and succeeded in apprehending 60 criminals during the last month.
Police teams also recovered gold ornaments, motorbikes, mobile phones,hashish, and arm ammunition from their possession.
Investigations on 51 cases were also completed and their challan were submitted in relevant courts while two criminal gangs were also busted.
DIG (Operations) Sohail Zafar Chatha also appreciated this overall performance adding that it is the prime responsibility of police to provide relief to the citizens and every possible effort would be made to ensure it. NNI
