Police busts gang of killers of Army Major

Karachi Police under the aegis of Deputy Inspector general (DIG) Police, District East, Sindh Amir Farooqui successfully busted the notorious gang of two killers who had gunned down a Pak Army Major during resistance by the slain Major on attempt by the killers to snatch away his money he had just then drawn from a nearby ATM. The incident had taken place within the precincts of Police Station Aram Bagh.
DIG Farooqui revealed and shared the details during a press briefing to the newsmen at his office Wednesday.
Farooqui told that the two-member gang of the killers had no previous criminal record in any of Police Stations but they had been annexed to notorious Lyari Gang and the weapons they used in that incident in which they gunned down Major of Pak Army.
The accused killers were the daily wagers at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and per their confessional statement they attempted to rob Pak Army Major in order to arrange money to meet their Eid expenses and on resistance they had shot him, DIG further revealed.
He said that the accused killers had dumped their weapon, a pistol in a nearby sewage canal. They were arrested from S.I.T.E Super Highways from untiring efforts of Firozabad Police Station’s Station House Officer (SHO) Aurangzeb Khattak.
