Abdul Rasheed, elder brother of Online News Agency’s senior photographer, Sultan Bashir, was laid to rest here Tuesday at the H-11 Graveyard.

The funeral prayer was attended by a large number of colleagues, members of family, friends, representatives from the Islamabad Chambers & Commerce, business community and journalists.

Executive Editor of Pakistan Observer MrGauharZahid Malik, who also attended the funeral prayers, later condoled with Sultan Bashir and his family members the sad demise of Abdul Rasheed.

He prayed that the departed soul might rest in eternal peace. MrRasheed, 65, had passed away a day earlier on Monday after prolonged illness. He was the eldest of six brothers and a retired government servant. He is survived by two sons and one daughter.

The funeral prayer was also attended by Sultan Bashir’s colleagues from media and photojournalist community including SajjadHaider, Waseem Khan, Sheikh Muhammad Arif, Ramzan Mughal, Qaiser Shah, SaleemRana, Raja Mudassar, Raja Asim, Naveed Ahmed Khan and others. His Rasm-e-Qul will be held today (Wednesday) after Zohr prayers.
