PESHAWAR – The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday granted a one-month protective bail to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The PHC heard a petition filed by Ali Amin Gandapur seeking details of the cases against him, during which the KP CM appeared in court.
After the hearing, the court approved a one-month protective bail for the Chief Minister.
The Peshawar High Court also directed that Ali Amin Gandapur should not be arrested in the cases registered against him.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that the civil disobedience movement would begin when the founder of PTI announced it.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur said that he was not allowed to meet the founder of PTI the previous day, and was told that he was not permitted to have the meeting.
He added that he is a representative of the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and does not need clearance from anyone. He questioned whether those using underhanded tactics had clearance themselves.
When asked about the civil disobedience movement, CM Gandapur stated that it would begin when the founder of PTI gave the instructions. He said the movement would be carried out as per those orders.
CM Gandapur had reached Adiala Jail to meet Imran Khan yesterday, but he was not allowed to meet the founder of PTI.
