PHA issued deadline for improving performance

Punjab Minister for Housing Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed on Thursday directed the Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) administration to improve its performance.
“The PHA authorities should take practical and effective measures for ensuring improvement in the institute within 90 days. No negligence will be tolerated with regard to performance.”
Punjab Minister for Housing Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed issued the directives while presiding over meeting at PHA headquarters on Thursday.
A number of important decisions including making authority more vibrant, beautification of provincial metropolis as well as increasing the revenue were taken up during the meeting. Advisor to CM Asif Mahmood, Chairman PHA Asad Gillani, Vice Chairman Hafiz Zeeshan Rasheed, Director General Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, member Marketing Amir Hameed, Member Horticulture Nawaz Ramay were also present on this occasion.
Mahmoodur Rasheed directed for convening a meeting of BoG and said that PHA Lahore will have to bear its expenditures by itself. He said that recommendation regarding increasing revenue should be made part of the agenda and business plan should be presented for the approval.
Such recommendations should be evolved which make authority more vibrant. The minister said that welfare of employees should be ensured and prompt measures should be taken for dealing with the matters related with their promotion. He said that no lenience should be showed regarding parks and green belts of the city.
He said that provision of facilities to the citizens should be ensured in the parks besides improving cleanliness and security measures.
He directed that saplings planted during monsoon plantation campaign should be secured for the success of clean and green Punjab.
